A small foundation came to Bob Kelly with a specific need – they were struggling to manage their investments. The BK team reviewed the financials and put together an investment program, defining policies, procedures and guidelines to bring the foundation’s practices in line with industry standards.
BK solicited proposals from 8-10 investment managers, narrowed the field down to three finalists, then facilitated the interview process with the board of directors. Once the board made its pick, BK negotiated the contract, outlining expected performance outcomes.
BK continues to serve the foundation as a trusted advisor on an ongoing basis, monitoring the performance of the investment manager and reporting to the board twice a year. By providing an outside perspective, BK is able to give the board peace of mind that its money is being properly managed.
